Exciting new role for CPA's Managing Director Steve Mellish, FBCI, chairman of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) formally announced the appointment of Lyndon Bird, FBCI as the new Technical Services Director for the BCI this month. Having previously chaired and served as a member of the board, Lyndon is well known and highly regarded by those on the industry. Lyndon's new role will focus on raising the profile of Business Continuity Management, being the primary point of contact for the BCI in dealings with government, academia, the media and strategic partners as well as responsibility for implementing the international expansion portion of the BCI strategic plan. Lyndon has previously been awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award in 2004 and the Consultant of the year award in 2002 by Continuity and Insurance Risk magazine.
Strategic Alliance formed between CPA and Safeguard Communications January 2006 has also seen the formation of a strategic alliance between CPA and Safeguard Communications.
